MEV (Maximum Extractable Value) bots sandwich $PEGASUS trades — they buy before your swap, you buy at the inflated price, they sell after, you eat the spread. On Solana, MEV is mostly Jito-routed.
MEV defense via tips + slippage
Two levers: tip size (higher Jito tip = MEV bot can't outbid you) and slippage tightness (lower slippage = MEV can't sandwich as profitably). For $PEGASUS:
- Pre-launch / pre-Boost: Jito tip 0.0001 SOL, slippage 1-2%.
- During Boost / KOL wave: Jito tip 0.0005-0.001 SOL, slippage 2-3%.
- Post-wave: drop back to baseline.
